This database is by no means complete! If you know the date of some historical event, try entering it here. If the event is “not” listed let me know 1)This database is maintained by Michael Dalton – editor/publisher of the Blackjack Review Network.  There are a few requirements to get in the database.  The event must be historically significant and/or the product (book, software, video, etc) was recommended in the Encyclopedia of Casino Twenty-One.  There may be a few exceptions!  In any case, report your event here. so I can update the database. You can enter any combination of month, day or year.

As of February 2018, over 400 events have been entered in the database. Our goal is to double this number by the end of the year… but we need your help. If you know of a blackjack historical event that is not already listed or if you see an error, I want to hear from you.

In September of 1956, Roger Baldwin, Wilbert Cantey, Herbert Maisel and James McDermott wrote a paper titled The Optimum Strategy in Blackjack.  Published in the Journal of the American Statistical Association, it would become the foundation of all future sound efforts to beat the game of blackjack.
