On this day in 1995, Martin Scorsese's movie Casino was released.  Filming took place in the Las Vegas Riviera Casino and the old  Landmark Hotel.


On this day in 2008, the movie 21, starring Kevin Spacey was released.  The movie was lousily based on the MIT blackjack team.

On this day in 1956, Elvis Presley performs first shows in Las Vegas at the New Frontier Hotel.


On this day in 1957, the Dunes became the first hotel/casino in Nevada to offer a "topless" show, called Minsky's Follies.


On this day in 1959, the topless revue Folies Bergere became a permanent show at the Tropicana.  It became one of the longest running shows in Las Vegas.


On this day in 1964, the movie Viva Las Vegas starring Elvis Presley and Ann Margret was released.


On this day in 1964, The Beatles performed live at the Las Vegas Convention Center.  Over 8000 fans attended.
