Qwik Count. {PCS/L1}. (Jake Smallwood) (1988) A simplified count developed for spouses and friends who can’t handle a regular count but want to help in some manner. You start the shuffle with a count equal to -1 times the number of decks used. (e.g., -6 for 6 decks). Add +1 for every hand dealt including the dealer’s hand each round. Subtract one from the count for each 10 or ace you see. In other words, only 10s and aces are counted but you are keeping track of hands played. This method is based on the observation that the average hand played uses approximately 2.6 cards.
