Page 158, Table 8.1: Note, that halving the number of maximum bets increases the chance of ruin to the square root of the original risk. This means if you cut your bets in half after losing half your stake, the overall chance of ruin is reduced to the original risk times the square root of the original risk. Caution: this is a risk management technique, not an excuse to over-bet your playing stake.
