The point was that raising or lowering your bets will not improve your (blackjack gambler – not card counter) chances of winning. Unless, of course, you are an accomplished card counter or have another proven method to gain an advantage. I get it, however, that this makes gambling a bit boring. The other point was that the slower you (blackjack gambler – not card counter) play (e.g., at a crowded table) the less money you are going to lose over time.
